New Age Banking Awards 2019 presented at NABS Dubai on 30th July

BusinessLive Middle East’s New Age Banking Summit and Awards 2019, held on 30th July at Armani Hotel Dubai received an overwhelming response. The summit was designed to address key challenges and explore technologies that can accelerate the regional banking sector in the digital age.
The deliberations at New Age Banking Summit, Dubai 2019 helped the audience gain expert insights on disruptive technologies, global banking trends and new age customer needs, and an opportunity to network with industry peers and banking solution providers.
Featuring sessions on blockchain, AI, digital transformation, customer experience, open banking, data analytics, the event stressed on driving efficiency across various channels for better customer experience as well as the need to be in line with regulatory norms while embracing digitization.
New Age Banking Awards
The best performing banking and fintech companies were presented with The New Age Banking Awards at the Summit. The Awards were presented by Atulya Sharma, CEO, UMS Group and Poonam Chawla, Associate Publisher, BusinessLive ME.

Commercial Bank of Dubai won the Best Digital Bank Award. The Award was received by Amit Malhotra, General Manager Personal Banking Group

The Best Corporate Bank Award went to Bank of Sharjah. Fares Saade, Senior Manager Banking Operations received the trophy on behalf of the Bank

Excellence in Innovation in Digital Banking was won by Mashreq Bank. The Award was received by Sandeep Chouhan, EVP – Group Head Operations and Technology. Mashreq Bank also took home the coveted Most Innovative Bank of the year award

Adam Dance, Senior Executive Officer, IG Limited received the Best Online Trading Award on behalf of the company

The Best Bank for Transaction Services Award went to HSBC, Ian Pettigrew, Regional Head of Innovation for Global Liquidity and Cash Management took the Award on behalf of HSBC

Al Ahli Bank Kuwait was the recipient of the Fastest Growing Bank in the Middle East. Meshari Ibrahim Al Ali, Executive Manager, Wealth and Real Estate Department received the Award

The highly contested Emerging Fintech of the Year (MENA) Award went to Vneuron. An elated Mahmoud Mhiri, Executive Partner of Vneuron did the honours on behalf of the Fintech

Mena Migally Khalil, Senior Director Middle-East received the Excellence in Fintech Award for Riverbed Technology

The final Award was for The Best International Bank of the year and it went to Standard Chartered. Sonny Zulu, Managing Director, Retail Banking received the Award on behalf of the Bank.
