Muscat: A testament to its role as a digital leader in the banking industry, the National Bank of Oman (NBO) has won twice at the World Business Outlook Awards, for “Best Digital Bank Oman 2021” and “Best Mobile Banking App Oman 2021”. The awards, which are held annually by the global publication, highlight the bank’s innovative use of technology and its constantly enhanced digital portfolio. With its mobile app at the centre, NBO’s range of cutting-edge digital solutions continue to cater to the evolving demands of its customers and cement its position as a bank fit for the future.
Abdul Karim Al Hinai, Chief Transformation Officer at NBO, said, “Our digital transformation is central to our journey as a market-leading bank, and as such we have pioneered a number of first-of-their-kind projects, from our mobile app, to cashless and contactless banking, to our mobile wallet. Especially during the last year, our digitally-led solutions have been instrumental to people being able to manage their financial lives safely and easily during the pandemic. As we look forward, we continue to find ways to make the digital banking experience seamless, inclusive, and altogether more enjoyable.”
