National Bank of Oman (NBO) kicked-off the 45th National Day celebrations with a first-of-its-kind parade on November 20th. NBO’s 45th National Day Parade celebrated the occasion and paid tribute to the Nation’s visionary leader His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said by bringing together a cross-section of society.
The parade included floats showcasing the Sultanate’s heritage and landmarks, marching bands, dancers, mascots, stilt walkers wearing the Omani flag, entertainers and school children who collectively brought the Sultanate’s rich heritage and cultural diversity to life. The parade staged cultural performances such as Omani folklore to express pride and gratitude to His Majesty and the Sultanate.
Held at the Ministries Road in the capital, children, women and men of all ages waved Omani flags with pride as they joined the parade.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Ahmed Al Musalmi, CEO of National Bank of Oman, said: “We were honored to launch the first NBO National Day Parade which is both a tribute to our visionary leader and a celebration of the remarkable achievements of our Nation with the wider community. We were also delighted to be joined by Mr. Rashad Al Zubair, Chairman of the Zubair Corporation and Mr. Talal Al Mamari, CEO of Omantel and we were pleased that so many people could join us to celebrate everything that is great about Oman.”
Al Musalmi added: “We salute His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said for the progress and development achieved over 45 years under His wise and visionary leadership and we would like to extend our warmest wishes and sincere congratulations to His Majesty and the people of Oman on our Nation’s 45th National Day. We remain strongly committed to supporting the Sultanate’s economy and strategic objectives: For you and for our nation.”
