ICICI Bank launches new branch in Bahrain’s Juffair

India’s leading bank ICICI launched its second branch in Bahrain’s Juffair on Sunday. The first retail branch is present at Manama Centre.
The new Juffair ‘Service Centre’ has been set up at Mannai Plaza, near the popular Oasis Mall. It was launched by Alok Kumar Sinha, Indian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The service centre provides services for all products currently offered by Manama branch, except cash withdrawal and deposit schemes, said the leading Indian lender in a statement.
In Bahrain, ICICI will offer retail, private banking, corporate banking services and products designed for the country’s customers such as savings and current account, fixed deposits and global money transfer, life insurance products and general insurance products, the company said in a statement.

“Further, it caters to non-resident Indian (NRI) customers with a bouquet of products and services including opening NRI accounts & fixed deposits, loan against NRI deposits, home loan for properties in India, transactions in select mutual funds as well opening of share trading,” it added.
The branch will operate from 8 am to 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm from Sunday to Thursday. It also work on the first, third and fifth Saturdays of the month.

“ICICI Bank has been operating in Bahrain since 2004. The Bank had received retail banking license in May 2007 to provide retail and commercial banking activities in the country. The inauguration of the ‘Service Centre’ is an important milestone in the Bank’s journey in the country. It would help the Bank to widen its reach in the country and would offer increased convenience to the Bank’s customers in the country in general and around Juffair, in particular,” said Amit Bansal, Bahrain Country Head, ICICI Bank.
