GCC New Age Banking Summit 2016 to discuss banking innovations

With increased customer expectations, market competition and developments in the global banking industry, banks are fast adopting new, innovative technologies to enhance customer service and acquisition, profitability and security. Omani banks are fast making this transition and implementing new systems powered by new generation technologies. From big data analysis, mobile platforms and the Internet of Things to cyber security and cross border payments, banks in Oman are ushering their way forward in a new age of banking.
The GCC New Age Banking Summit will be a unique platform for banking and finance professionals to discuss the new developments in global banking and debate on the focus areas for Omani banks. Scheduled for 23rd May, 2016 at Crowne Plaza in Muscat, Oman, the event is supported by Bloomberg Businessweek Middle East.
The event will also host the Oman Banking and Finance Awards, an initiative to acknowledge the achievements of the best performers in the banking and non-banking finance sectors in the Sultanate. Powered by the Oman Economic Review (OER), the awards will be based on the latest OER-GBCM survey and recognize the endeavours of financial institutions who have set a benchmark in the banking world in Oman.
Offering a global and regional perspective for bankers, the GCC New Age Banking Summit will discuss various sections of the banking industry, ranging from digital transformation and new age banking to financial innovations and banking regulations in the GCC. Featuring sessions on Omni channel banking and risks & compliance, the event will stress on driving efficiency across various channels for better monetization as well as the need to be in line with regulatory norms while embracing digitization.
Hosting a lineup of expert regional and global industry speakers, the event will help the audience gain expert insights on disruptive technologies, global banking trends and new age customer needs, and an opportunity to network with industry peers and banking solution providers.
