Disrupting the financial industry globally, social media, big data and mobile platforms have changed the way banks operate.
Omani banks are fast making this transition and implementing new systems powered by new generation technologies. From big data analysis, mobile platforms and the Internet of Things to cyber security and cross border payments, banks in Oman are ushering their way forward in a new age of banking.
The GCC New Age Banking Summit will be a unique platform for banking and finance professionals to discuss the new developments in global banking and debate on the focus areas for Omani banks. Scheduled for 23rd May, 2016 at Crowne Plaza in Muscat, Oman, the event is supported by Bloomberg Businessweek Middle East.

Powered by the Oman Economic Review (OER), the awards will be based on the latest OER-GBCM survey and recognize the endeavours of financial institutions who have set a benchmark in the banking world in Oman.
Offering a global and regional perspective for bankers, the GCC New Age Banking Summit will discuss various sections of the banking industry, ranging from digital transformation and new age banking to financial innovations and banking regulations in the GCC. Featuring sessions on Omni channel banking and risks & compliance, the event will stress on driving efficiency across various channels for better monetization as well as the need to be in line with regulatory norms while embracing digitization.
