Kuwait’s Jazeera Airways Goes All-Economy From Jan 8, Launches New Fares

Beginning January 8, Kuwait budget carrier Jazeera Airways will move to an all-economy fleet with three new new economy fare categories: Light, Value, and Extra.
These fares are applicable to all economy flights expect those destined for Egypt’s Cairo.
As the official site, light is for “travellers who like to travel light with just hand baggage and no check-in bags.” They are allowed to take on-board hand baggage of up to 7kg plus a small personal item such as a handbag or laptop. “Check-in baggage can be purchased later (if required) but only at check-in (subject to availability),” said the airline for Light fare ticket. No refunds will be provided for cancellation in these tickets.
In the Value category, the airline is offering 20 kg check-in baggage in addition to cabin baggage allowance of up to 7kg plus a small personal item such as handbag or laptop. “You can always top-up your baggage through Manage Booking or when checking-in online with our special discounted rates. Otherwise you can add Excess baggage at the airport check-in desk (subject to availability),” said the airline.
In the Extra category, fliers will get a generous 30-kg check-in baggage allowance plus a free selection of a preferred seat between Rows 4 – 10 and a Standard seat in rows
13 – 28 / 29 (subject to availability).
“You can also top-up your baggage through Manage Booking or when checking-in online with our special discounted rates. Otherwise you can add Excess baggage at the airport check-in desk (subject to availability),” said Jazeera Airways.
Bookings in the both Value and Extra fare tickets can be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to departure.
A new priority service was also launched with allows passengers to priority check-in, priority baggage and priority boarding.

Charges for priority service is Kuwaiti Dinar 10 one-way and will be available at all airports. Passengers on connecting flights will pay KD15 for the one-way service for both flights.
