Mazda supports Road Safety Campaign during Ramadan

As a responsible automotive brand, Towell Auto Centre and Mazda Oman supported a public initiative for road safety towards raising public awareness and reducing accidents on Oman’s roads, during the holy month of Ramadan.
Accidents happen primarily because of fatigue and change in lifestyle during this month. Drivers should observe effective measures of road safety such as basic awareness about the vehicle, defensive driving according to weather and road conditions, avoiding over-speeding, keeping to their lanes, and not using mobile phones while driving, apart from avoiding driving when they are tired.
Prevention of road accidents by using effective safety measures is one of the main objectives of this campaign. Practicing road safety measures ensure the safety of the driver, passengers, and pedestrians. Everyone should respect others while driving or walking on the road and take care of, not only their own, but one another’s safety. This is also in line with the practice followed in this month.
A representative of Towell Auto Centre said, “Road safety is an integral part of TAC’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, not just in practice but also through the brands that we represent in the Oman market. The awareness campaign is designed to reach out to the motorists and passengers on the roads, as we aim to make their life’s journeys better. We are committed to promoting a safe driving culture in the country, through our awareness campaign, as well as our safe range of Mazda vehicles.”
Mazda has a suite of safety features such as i-ACTIVSENSE that covers a series of advanced safety technologies. They support safe driving by helping the driver to recognize potential hazards and pre-crash safety technologies which help to avert collisions or reduce their severity in situations where they cannot be avoided.
Other safety features include Adaptive Front-lighting System, High-Beam Control System, Adaptive LED Headlight, Lane-keep Assist System, Blind Spot Monitoring, i-ACTIV AWD,
Rear Vehicle Monitoring System, Lane Departure Warning System, Emergency Signal System, Forward Obstruction Warning, Brake Assist and Electronic Braking Distribution, 4-Wheel Anti-Lock Braking System, Dynamic Stability Control and Traction Control System.
Moreover, the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) help to reduce traffic accidents and congestion by receiving and transmitting information on humans, roads, and automobiles, through the use of telecommunication technologies.
