People Who Made News in 2018

2018 was an action-packed year which saw plenty of people make the headlines for good, bad and ugly reasons. Here are some of the headliners of 2018
Kim Jong Un
North Korea’s Supreme Leader was a gamechanger this year as he met not only the US President Donald Trump in Singapore but also met the South Korean President Moon Jae-in to improve global relations. This was a first after 1953. The experts however were very sceptical and critical of the meet.

Meghan Markle
When the popular actress once posed in 1996 outside Buckingham Palace, we bet, even she didn’t know that after 22 years she would be calling it her home. Megan and Prince Harry tied the knot on 19 May 2018 in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, United Kingdom – an event that had millions of viewers tune in from around the world.
Mark Zuckerberg
The social media mogul was in the news for all the wrong reasons as Facebook was caught in the Cambridge Analytica scandal. The company was accused of sharing data of more than 50 million users to Cambridge Analytica. This very data was used to influence the 2016 US General Elections. The situation was so bad that Mark Zuckerberg had to personally appear before the US Congress and provide testimony and answer their concerns.
Anthony Bourdain
Perhaps one of the most tragic stories of the year where celebrity chef, traveller and author, Anthony Bourdain killed himself, after suffering from a long bout of mental illness. It was a grim reminder that money can’t buy you happiness.
