Ahli Bank announces the Wafra Prize Scheme winners for 2019
Ahli Bank recently conducted the Annual Wafra Draw at its headquarters. The Wafra Prize scheme of year 2019 evoked a fabulous response from the Bank’s customers and rewarded 970 customers in the year 2019. Total grand prizes worth over RO 1 million were awarded to the customers across the branches in the Sultanate. Throughout 2019, there were weekly, monthly and special prizes. The new prize scheme for the year 2020 will be announced soon by the Bank so that the customers can benefit from the scheme and plan for the future.
The Wafra scheme entitled the Ahli Bank account holders to win a wide range of prizes; Weekly, Monthly, Special Occasions, Half Yearly and End of Year Prizes. Total number of winners were 970 for the year 2019. The weekly prize scheme rewarded 785 customers with RO 500 (one winner from each branch). The monthly scheme rewarded 108 winners including 48 retail customers and 60 children segment customers with total prizes of RO 108,000. Special draws were conducted to Retail Mass customers for 6 winners who won RO 10,000 each and another special draw for Premium and Private banking customers for 2 winners who won RO 50,000 each.
To support the community, the bank has also conducted special draw for Omani Women’s Day in October 2019, where 16 female winners (1 winner from every branch) won RO 500. We will also not forget the celebrations of the 49th National Day with a special draw for our customers; Wafra has rewarded 49 customers with RO 1,000 each. As part of Wafra Prize scheme for 2019, the year-end draw has rewarded 2 winners with RO 50,000 each. In 2019, 2 lucky customers won the Mega prizes of RO 250,000 each Salary for Life draw in June and December. The scheme was aimed to encourage a strong savings culture and create more value for the existing customers.
While the Wafra Prize Scheme included a series of rewards during the year it also included the mega prize; Salary for Life. This mega prize offered the Ahli Bank customers a chance to win RO 250,000 in 2019. To be eligible to win this award, each account holder was required to maintain a quarterly average balance of RO 1,000. To win the other two prizes of RO 50,000, the account holder also needed to maintain a quarterly average balance of RO 1,000. An average monthly balance of RO 35,000 was needed to be maintained by premium and exclusive account holders.
