Airport traffic at Muscat, Salalah grows
Air passenger traffic through Muscat International Airport until the end of November 2015 recorded an increase of 17 per cent to 9,321,617 passengers, while it rose by 21 per cent at the Salalah Airport, compared to the figures in the same period in 2014.
Air passenger traffic through Muscat International Airport until the end of November 2015 recorded an increase of 17 per cent to 9,321,617 passengers, while it rose by 21 per cent at the Salalah Airport, compared to the figures in the same period in 2014.
Data shows an 18 per cent increase in the number of arrivals to 4,708,379 until November 2015, compared to 3,991,125 passengers for the same period in 2014. The number of departing passengers also increased by 16 per cent to 4,583,962 from 3,941,684 passengers a year ago.
The increase in the arrival and departure at the Muscat International Airport is attributed to the growing number of flights operated by the existing airlines, such as Kuwait Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, and SpiceJet.
