bp Oman has signed agreements with 11 Omani organisations to deliver the 12th cycle of its Block 61 social investment programme under its supervision; continuing its long-standing commitment to creating positive impact in communities across Oman.

The launch was attended by Her Highness Dr Muna bint Fahad Al Said, His Excellency Taher bin Mabkhout bin Ali Al Junaibi, Governor of Ad Dhahirah Governorate, bp’s Block 61 partners OQEP, PTTEP and PETRONAS, and representatives from the Omani companies that will deliver the programmes.

The programme supports initiatives that help people develop skills, access opportunities and contribute to their communities in collaboration with Omani-owned organisations.

This year’s programmes focus on education, technology, entrepreneurship, sustainability, community development and inclusion in line with Oman’s 2040 vision of building skills and opportunities for future generations.

Najla Zuhair Al Jamali, bp Oman president, said: “Together with our partners, we have reached more than 290,000 people across Oman since the launch of our programme. This progress shows the power of partnership in creating opportunities, developing skills and supporting those who need it most.

“We look forward to building on that impact through this new cycle of programmes and thank our Block 61 partners, OQEP, PTTEP and PETRONAS for their continued support.”

Since 2014, bp Oman has worked alongside local organisations to design and deliver programmes that respond to community needs and help create new opportunities for people across the country.

The new cycle of social investment programme includes:

• Marifah V8 by Children’s Public Library (CPL), a programme that encourages reading through interactive workshops for children and parents.
• Mahatat V3 by Al Masarah Youth, which equips electrical engineering graduates with the skills required for licensing and employment in electrical wiring and inspection.
• FabTech Mobile Lab V5 by Innotech, helping students gain hands-on experience with engineering design software, 3D printing, laser cutting, and virtual and augmented reality technologies.
• TAHLYA V8 by MEDRC, which trains graduates and promotes water conservation among students.
• Smoothy Coding by TechSpace, introducing grade 3 and 4 students to foundational programming through interactive learning experiences.
• Habbah V4 by Youth Sada, supporting SMEs through training, mentoring and business development opportunities.
• Youth Sada Centre V7 by Youth Sada, empowering young people to develop initiatives that create social and economic impact within their communities.
• Girls in Tech by Kidsity, helping young Omani girls build skills and confidence in technology, innovation and future-focused careers.
• Aman V2 by E-Mushrif, improving school bus safety through smart monitoring technology.
• Amallcom by Al Jabar, supporting aspiring entrepreneurs in transforming ideas into market-ready startups through business development and funding support.
• Khazzan for SME Development V7 by Sharakah, helping Omani SMEs strengthen their capabilities, scale their businesses and create economic value through mentorship and business development support.
• Sail Free V3 by Oman Sail, enabling people with disabilities to excel in sailing and represent Oman internationally through inclusive sports development.

Activities will begin rolling out over the coming months, with participating organisations sharing programme details through their respective channels.
