SPIEF 2025 showcases cutting-edge technologies and digital innovation through its Innovation Space initiative

Innovation, digital products and technology trends in Russia were an important part of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), held from June 18-21. The Forum was organised by the Roscongress Foundation.
Speaking on the topic, Dmitry Sryvkov, Head of Roscongress Foundation’s Department for Relations with the Innovation Sector said, “We always support projects that are related to AI and E-commerce which we have now. In addition, we are launching a new project with the Post Office of Russia. We also support projects in the E-mobility space such as electric cars and more.”
He added, “Let me start by explaining what is the innovation space. The idea started six or seven years ago when it was primarily a space for communication, but then we attached a drone to Roscongress projects and visited all the events. In collaboration with them, we found new partners and started working with start-ups. Last year, we launched a platform that invites start-ups and new projects. Roscongress offers them funding and all the resources needed for them to get integrated into other companies or ministries that would be interested in their work.”
The “Innovation Space” project is a dynamic new platform offering companies the opportunity to participate as co-investors in ground-breaking technological ventures. The initiative positions innovation as a central pillar in the evolving dialogue between science, business, and government.
It provides a vital platform for discussion and trend analysis with leading experts in digital transformation and innovation, particularly in economic contexts. The project convenes federal authorities, major tech companies, investors, developers, entrepreneurs, start-ups, and young innovators, making it a cross-sector hub for collaboration and applied science.
The “Innovation Space” programme stands as Roscongress’s flagship project in the fields of technology, science, and venture capital, aimed at aligning research, enterprise, and investment within a future-focused digital environment.
This year’s innovation space at SPIEF into three parts, wherein the main partners are presented. Says Sryvkov, “We are presenting Promobot which uses AI to communicate and one can chat with him. Our main project, which we are showcasing this year on this platform in SPIEF and the Innovation Space is a solution from Pragmacore Company. This is an IT programme, which automates processes using AI. We are very proud of this project and we would like to focus our attention it.”
“The second part has been made in collaboration with Positive Technologies, They are presenting a cyber-training module in which 37 companies together launch a simulation. One part of them attacks a city while the other defends it, so it is an interesting cyber game. The third part is an additional zone which includes a lounge. Therefore, these are the three main parts that are presented this year at SPIEF. I would like to mention Aquarius – which have been our long-term partners. They are a Russian company that produces computers and tablets, and we are very proud to work with them,” adds Sryvkov.
