Liva Insurance and Amal Al Raisi Unite to Empower Omani Women in Fashion
With a vision to empower local talent and support local businesses, Liva Insurance is proud to announce its partnership with the Fashion Future Program 2025, a pioneering initiative aimed at nurturing young Omanis within the fashion industry.
Led by acclaimed designer Amal Al Raisi, the program will offer ten Omani women a unique opportunity to hone both their creative skills and business acumen, setting them on a path to become future leaders in the Sultanate of Oman’s ever-expanding creative sector.
As a key initiative aligned with Oman Vision 2040 and Liva Insurance’s In-Country Value (ICV) goals, the Program focuses on empowering women, fostering youth development, and contributing to the country’s diversity and inclusion objectives.
The nine-month program, running from January to October 2025, will offer a comprehensive curriculum covering 20 subjects, including fashion forecasting and entrepreneurship. Additionally, students will gain valuable insights from industry experts and real-world experience through an internship with a renowned international designer. Liva insurance will not only be a sponsor of the initiative but will also utilize some of the expertise of its employees to give practical advice and courses to the participants.
Speaking about the partnership, Hanaa Al Hinai, CEO of Liva Insurance stated: “As a company deeply rooted in the Sultanate, we are proud to support objectives that inspire the youth and nurture local talent. The Fashion Future Program reflects our commitment to empowering young Omanis, particularly women, to step into leadership roles in emerging sectors. We feel that it is our responsibility to help the youth in gaining global expertise and this program perfectly aligns with this.”
Commenting on this partnership, Amal Al Raisi added: “As we look ahead, the Oman fashion market is projected to generate US$377.70 million in revenue by the end of this year, with an impressive annual growth rate of 7.82% expected through 2029, ultimately reaching a market volume of US$550.30 million. By investing in creative industries, we are not only helping to shape the future of these individuals but also contributing to Oman’s Vision 2040 of a diversified, knowledge-based economy. It’s about giving our youth the tools to succeed and helping them thrive in an increasingly global and competitive market. Our partnership with Liva Insurance is one that ensures that we give our local talents the best exposure to global practices”
At launch, the Fashion Future Program will incorporate AI-powered tools into its curriculum, equipping participants with essential skills for success in the digital world. This focus on technological innovation will prepare participants for the evolving fashion industry, ensuring that the next generation is ready to thrive in an increasingly digital marketplace.
