TECS Networking Night : Building Partnerships and Future Opportunities in Oman
Muscat: In an impressive gala at the TECS Networking Night held recently, the air was charged with anticipation and pride as leading manufacturers and business elites gathered to celebrate enduring partnerships and discuss the future of industry in Oman. The event, marked by a series of felicitations and insightful discussions, set the stage for a deeper look into the collaborations that have driven innovation and growth in the region. As guests arrived at the venue, the evening began with a casual interaction in the foyer, accompanied by canapés and refreshments, setting a congenial atmosphere.

The transition to the Greatroom for the main event signaled a shift to a more formal recognition of milestones and achievements. The highlight of the night was the series of felicitations honoring long-standing partnerships. Goodwin International from the UK was recognized for 15 years of collaboration with TECS. Mr. Neil Frain, Sales Director at Goodwin, reflected on the journey, noting, “Our partnership with TECS has been instrumental in supplying innovative valve technologies that address the severe service requirements of Oman’s industries.” Following Goodwin, TECS celebrated a decade of successful partnerships with AS Schneider from Germany and Metal Samples from the USA.

Mr. Thomas from AS Schneider pointed out the critical role of their advanced valve solutions in high-pressure, high-temperature applications crucial for the oil and gas sector in Oman. Meanwhile, Mr. Amish Gandhi of Metal Samples highlighted their contributions to corrosion monitoring and materials evaluation, essential for maintaining the integrity of industrial installations. A notable presentation from Mr. Suhas Deshpande, Vice President of Electrification at ABB Oman, outlined ABB’s commitment to electrification and automation, aligning with Oman’s In-Country Value (ICV) initiative and sustainability goals.

He emphasized, “Our focus is not only on delivering solutions that enhance operational efficiency but also on fostering a sustainable and resource-efficient future for Oman.” The evening also included a Q&A session, where industry leaders shared insights about their companies’ roles in the Omani market, upcoming initiatives, and the importance of adapting to green technologies. This session provided a rare glimpse into the strategic directions of prominent global manufacturers and their alignment with local industry needs. The event concluded with a dinner, but the discussions signaled ongoing conversations about technology transfer, training, and development programs that could benefit the local workforce. As Mr. Mustafa Bakir, presenting on behalf of TECS, noted, “Such interactions are vital for understanding the evolving landscape of the Omani market and ensuring that the partnerships we celebrate tonight continue to thrive and contribute to our mutual growth.” The TECS Networking Night not only recognized the past achievements but also set a forward-looking agenda for innovation and collaboration in Oman’s dynamic market environment.
