Investors In Duqm Can Now Receive Licenses In One Day With Fast Track Service
The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) has launched the investor residency fast track service, which will be accessible via the one-stop-station, both for immediate registration of commercial register and the investment license on the same day.
The service benefits from ongoing coordination between the Authority and the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
Earlier, OPAZ coordinated with the departments concerned to grant long-term residency visas for periods ranging between 5 and 10 years. The service was offered to foreign investors with high added-value businesses that contribute to the employment of job seekers and the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Dr. Said Khalifa Al Tuweirshi, In-Charge of the tasks at OPAZ, pointed out that the new service will enable investors registered with OPAZ to submit residency visa requests to obtain the investment license via the portal.
Since Royal Decree No. 105/2020 was issued, OPAZ unveiled fast visa e-services in all of its zones, conducted studies for the development of investment in the business environment, reviewed usufruct fees, and supported the government’s efforts of economic diversification.
