- Mimi is a 2021 Indian Hindi-language comedy-drama film written and directed by Laxman Utekar. The film stars Kriti Sanon in the titular role of Mimi, a young woman who opts to be a surrogate mother for a foreign couple. The film leaves you with a sense of belonging and appreciating motherhood! Mimi also brings a fabulous music album from the Mozart of Madras, AR Rahman.
2. Hit & Run (Hebrew: פגע וברח) is an Israeli-American Netflix Original thriller television series, created and written by Avi Issacharoff, Lior Raz, Dawn Prestwich, and Nicole Yorkin. it Premiered on Netflix on 6th August and is currently standing at Oman #2.
3. The Swarm is a 2020 French horror drama film directed by Just Philippot from a screenplay by Jérôme Genevray and Franck Victor. The film stars Suliane Brahim, Sofian Khammes, Marie Narbonne, Raphael Romand and Nathalie Boyer. The film was selected for the International Critics’ Week at the 2020 Cannes Film Festival. If horror is your genre, then this is right up your alley!
4. Vivo is a 2021 American computer-animated musical comedy-drama film produced by Sony Pictures Animation. The film is directed by Kirk DeMicco and co-directed by Brandon Jeffords, from a screenplay by DeMicco and Quiara Alegría Hudes, and a story that was based on an original idea by Peter Barsocchini; with songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who voices the title character in the film. The cast also features the voices of Ynairaly Simo, Zoe Saldana, Juan de Marcos González, Michael Rooker, Brian Tyree Henry, Nicole Byer, and Gloria Estefan. The film marks Sony Pictures Animation’s first musical film. If you are having a family movie night with your young ones, then look no further!
5. The Good Doctor is an American medical drama television series based on the 2013 South Korean series of the same name. Doctor Shaun Murphy (played by Freddie Highmore) is a young resident surgeon with autism and savant syndrome, who relocates to San Jose, California to become a successful surgeon leaving behind his troubled past.
6. The Last Mercenary is a 2021 French action comedy film directed by David Charhon with a screenplay by Charhon and Ismael Sy Savane. The film stars Jean-Claude Van Damme in the lead role, along with a supporting cast that includes Alban Ivanov, Assa Sylla and Samir Decazza. It was released on Netflix on July 30, 2021. Action Comedy is one of our personal favourite genres, but who would skip a film by the legendary Jean-Claude Van Damme eh?
7. Navarasa (translation. Nine emotions) is an Indian anthology streaming television series created by Mani Ratnam, who also collaborated with Jayendra Panchapakesan to produce the series through their respective banners Madras Talkies and Qube Cinema Technologies. The series features nine stand-alone episodes based on the Indian concept of the Navarasas, filmed by Priyadarshan, Karthik Subbaraj, Vasanth, Arvind Swami, Bejoy Nambiar, Karthick Naren, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Sarjun KM and Rathindran R. Prasad.
It stars an ensemble cast of Suriya, Vijay Sethupathi, Siddharth, Revathi, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Prayaga Martin, Arvind Swami, Prasanna, Poorna, Delhi Ganesh, Rohini, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Yogi Babu, Remya Nambeesan, Aditi Balan, Bobby Simha, Riythvika, Sree Raam, Atharvaa, Manikuttan, Nedumudi Venu, Anjali, Kishore amongst others.

8.Aftermath is a 2021 American thriller film directed by Peter Winther, starring Ashley Greene and Shawn Ashmore. It was released on August 4 on Netflix. It is a little bit of cliche with predictable plot twists. But nevertheless, thrillers are always a fun watch!

Diriliş: Ertuğrul, translated as Resurrection: Ertuğrul,is a Turkish historical fiction and adventure television series produced by Mehmet Bozdağ for TRT, starring Engin Altan Düzyatan as Ertuğrul Bey. The show is set in the 13th century and is based on the life of Ertuğrul, the father of Osman I, the founder of the Ottoman Empire. This show has been in Oman’s Top trending for a while now, and it is one of the best medieval shows to date.
10. Taxi 5 is a 2018 French action comedy film directed by Franck Gastambide. A sequel to Taxi 4, it is the fifth and final instalment of the Taxi film series and features an entirely different cast. It is not a bad watch if you like a little car chase and French comedy!
