LIVE: Press Statement By HH Sayyid Fahd At The 41st GCC Summit
Saudi Arabia: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, the Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs, has made a press statement upon his arrival in Saudi Arabia for the 41st GCC Summit.
On behalf of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said has arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to head the Sultanate’s delegation participating in the discussions at the 41st Summit of leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
Upon his arrival, he made a press statement in which he affirmed his honour to lead the Sultanate’s delegation on behalf of His Majesty the Sultan and conveyed the greetings of His Majesty, “may God bestow him”, to the fellow leaders, coupled with good wishes for the conference and success in achieving the desired goals.
He then elucidated that the changes and developments witnessed in the international and regional arenas require coordination of positions and the identification of the best means to deal with challenges in order to preserve the interests of the region and achieve the aspirations of the people in the Gulf for a better future dominated by stability and security.
He also added that the Council has achieved many achievements at all levels, which requires it to make more efforts to promote development in all sectors in support of the gains made since the establishment of the Council in 1971.
His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs then affirmed that the Sultanate will continue its support for the march of the Cooperation Council and then expressed his appreciation for the leadership, government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
