BREAKING: Oman Shuts Air, Land, And Sea Borders For One Week

Muscat: The Supreme Committee tasked with dealing with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has taken the decision to shut all its borders today.
As per the new decision, entry and exit will be prevented through Oman’s land, air, and sea borders, starting from 1:00 am on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, for a period of one week.
This comes after the authorities of a number of countries announced the emergence of a new strain of the Coronavirus and in a bid to contain its spread and protect the community from the effects of the virus.
Cargo planes, cargo ships, and trucks will be excluded from this prohibition, and the committee will continue to monitor the epidemiological situation of the new strain of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and take appropriate decisions accordingly, as per a statement by the committee.
