6 Festive Things To Do on Christmas in Dubai
It’s Christmas Day, finally! And we can’t stay calm. Joy, cheer and love surround the world around us. While the Gulf may not exactly be the place for a white Christmas, there is certainly no missing the sparkly festive cheer.
In Dubai, schools have already shut down for the festive break. Offices too will remain closed on December 25.
What do you have planned for Christmas Day. We share some ideas below:
1. Christmas Day Brunch
Lavish Christmas Day brunches are being offered across popular eateries and restaurants across the city. From Jumeirah Al Qasr to the White Beach, a throng of places are offering special Xmas buffets. Enjoy a leisurely meal at these places.
2. Turkey Takeaway
If eating out on Christmas is not your cup of tea, trying preparing a classic Christmas meal with turkey. To make things easy, several places are offering pre-cooked Turkey dishes. Just book a meal in advance and enjoy the day from the comfort of your home.

3. Festive Fairs
Ah, good old fairs! A perfect way to share and spread the cheer. Several places in the city are hosting tradition Christmas fairs including the popular Irish Village, Madinat Jumeirah and Winter Festival. So what are you waiting for?
4. Sunny Beach
We’re already established it won’t be a white Christmas. You’re up for a sunny day. And what better way to spend the day than heading out to beach with some outdoor binging, music and laughter.
5. Christmas Lights
With New Year 2020 less just a week away, Dubai is already in a festive gear with huge Christmas lights and trees sparkling around. So head out to the Dubai Festival City to view sunset and the 20 metre tall tree light up or catch the Festive City Singers’ singing away in glory of Baby Jesus.
6. A Visit to the Church
Churches across Dubai are set for mass services, welcoming everyone with open arms. Visit St Mary’s Catholic Church, one of the oldest and most popular churches in the UAE, or St Joseph’s Cathedral, or one of the churches in Jebel Ali.
