Businessgateways obtains ISO Quality Management Certification
Businessgateways International (BGI), an IT organisation based in Oman implementing national online platforms, has been awarded the much-coveted ISO 9001:2015 Certification in a further affirmation of its commitment to meeting the requirements of its increasing portfolio of customers and stakeholders.
The prestigious award certifies that businessgateways has put in place an internationally recognised Quality Management System (QMS) designed to ensure the delivery of high quality and consistently superior services. businessgateways had also recently obtained the important ISO 27001:2013 Certification for Information Security Management System (ISMS) Standard for IT Data Management Security. The new ISO 9001:2015 certification reinforces businessgateways’ management and operational capabilities as the company positions itself for a new phase of robust growth as a leading enabler of e-services for the business community.
Operating major national IT projects such as the Joint Supplier Registration System (JSRS) – the Oil & Gas Industry Supplier Certification System on behalf of Oman’s Ministry of Oil & Gas, the National Business Framework (NBF) – driving B2B business stimulation between companies, and the Oman National Subsidy System (NSS) – the National Subsidy System for Oman’s citizens, businessgateways have always recognised the need to ensure its operating processes and procedures are fully compliant to the demands and challenges that go with the operations of such important IT platforms.
Given its increasingly important role as a portal for local corporates of all sizes to connect within business communities locally, regionally and internationally, the newly acquired ISO 9001:2015 Standard, together with the ISO 27001:2013, is set to hold businessgateways in excellent stead as it gears up its game in the delivery of critical business support services to its customers.
Welcoming the award of the Quality Management Standard to businessgateways, Mr. Hemant Murkoth, CEO of businessgateways said: “The ISO 9001:2015 certification demonstrates our commitment to taking our quality standards and service delivery to the next level. Going forward, quality management at businessgateways will be dictated by an emphasis on the Standard’s seven guiding principles: Customer focus, Leadership, Engagement with people, Structured processes, Consistent improvement, Evidence based decision-making, and Relationship Management.”
