Sunil D’Souza joins Travel Point as New COO

Travel Point LLC, Oman’s largest travel and hospitality company has recently announced the appointment of Sunil D’Souza, as the new Chief Operating Officer, effective May 2018. Bringing with him a wealth of travel experience of over 30 years in the Middle East, Sunil D’Souza has been credited with growing businesses to billion plus marks in his previous portfolios in the industry.
Sunil D’Souza has been synonymous with innovation & technology. He has transformed travel companies into those of world-class stature. From diversifying business verticals to strategizing business models to weather market downturns, he has been successful in building sustainable business models. “We are happy to welcome him on board and look forward to his valuable contribution in achieving the mission and vision of our travel group,” said Budoor Mohamed Rashed Al Fannah Al Araimi, Chairperson, Al Siraj Holdings LLC and Managing Director of the Travel Group.
The appointment was consequent to the unfortunate exit of Sunil Prabhakar, ex-CEO of the Travel Group, who resigned owing to acute health conditions.
Perceived as a people’s person, Sunil D’Souza has built great teams and achieved major milestones across various business verticals, covering travel, airline, leisure and GSA representations. He has made a mark for himself in the travel industry in the Middle East, by creating topnotch work environments for team members and creating higher brand equity.

An avid golfer and a meditation enthusiast, Sunil D’Souza has been a competent toastmaster himself. He has worked on various Corporate Social Responsibility projects that included Environmental Protection, Volunteering Projects, Education Awareness Campaigns and Empowerment of the Less Fortunate.
“Sunil is a welcome addition to the travel group and his new role is vital in the next phase we are about to tread, with the goal to position the company as the most preferred travel management company in Oman & Beyond,” added Budoor.

Prior to his appointment, Sunil D’Souza served in Dubai as the Regional Travel Director for Kanoo Travel and member of the Travel Board for UAE, Oman, Qatar, Iraq & Afghanistan.
