Talabat Named The Food Delivery Platform for Expo 2020

Talabat, the largest online food ordering platform in the Middle East, has been named as the food delivery platform for the upcoming Dubai Expo 2020.
The online food aggregator will launch a tech-driven cloud kitchen, featuring an assortment of restaurants serving freshly prepared food, said an official statement. Visitors will be able to try cuisines from around the world and expect ultra-fast and eco-friendly delivery, reflecting Expo 2020’s sub-themes of Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability.
“With 25 million visits to be hosted during the six-month event and up to 500,000 meals expected to be served on our busiest days, Expo 2020 Dubai will open doors for visitors to explore exciting global cuisines. Having the leading food delivery platform Talabat on board as Expo’s food delivery platform will enable visitors to conveniently order food from around the event site. We are excited to bring people closer to a cloud kitchen, which is a key changing trend in the food and beverage industry, and adds diversity and value to the visitor experience,” said Darren Tse, Director – Concessions and Programming, Commercial, Expo 2020 Dubai.
Tomaso Rodriguez, CEO of Talabat, said, “We are proud to be the food delivery platform for Expo 2020 Dubai. Not only because we are the region’s pioneers in online food delivery, but also because the spirit of innovation is at the heart of Expo 2020 Dubai, and we will bring creative and innovative ways to delight visitors with culinary surprises at The World’s Greatest Show. Our cloud kitchen concept brings unique advantages: in addition to offering customers a wide choice of freshly prepared foods from many corners of the world, it also helps minimise waste and makes food delivery service even more efficient and nimble.”
