Nissan launches ‘Safe & Clean Programme’ in the Middle East

Nissan has announced the successful implementation of its ‘Safe & Clean’ certification programme, designed to maintain high levels of health and safety measures across authorized Nissan dealers in the region. The brand’s entire network of partners in the region, including showrooms and workshops, have now been certified by this programme.
The ’Safe & Clean’ programme extends the precautionary measures put in place in response to the developing COVID-19 pandemic in the region earlier this year – with all Nissan dealers now required to complete a Facility Audit Checklist to get certified. The checklist includes implementation of symptom and temperature detection system for employees, adoption of COVID-19 service and sales protocols issued by Nissan, effective implementation of the vehicle sanitisation process, and more.
Furthermore, 100% of client-facing and back-end employees at authorised dealers are required to undergo a special ‘Nissan Covid-19 Re-start Guidelines’ training session to qualify for the certification. They are also required to adopt COVID-19 service and sales protocols issued by Nissan for the facility to complete the audit checklist.
Compliant facilities are recognised with a ‘Nissan Safe & Clean Certified Outlet’ quality certification and label that can be displayed to customers, while also being featured on the Nissan website and social media channels.
Thierry Sabbagh, Managing Director, Nissan Middle East said: “The health of our customers, employees and partners remains a key priority for us at Nissan, and we are steadfast in our commitment to facilitating a safe environment as we welcome customers to our dealers across the region. The implementation of our ‘Safe & Clean’ certification programme aims to help our partners enforce best practices, while offering peace of mind and confidence to our customers.”
This adds to the previous upgrades made to all showrooms in the region as part of the Nissan Retail Concept – designed to deliver a more digital and customized customer service experience. While the innovative and aesthetic elements continue to bring heightened comfort to customers, the certification programme also ensures a safe environment across the network.
The ‘Safe & Clean’ certification programme will conduct regular audits in the future to ensure compliance across all degrees.
