Coronavirus Update: A number of UAE pharmacies ran out of the masks

Dubai: Almost all pharmacies in Dubai are running out of safe face masks especially the best quality N-95 mask. Many stores ran out of stock as there is increasing demand from people all over UAE. Prices of the N-95 safety mask which was sold at AED 150 is now sold at AED 180 at a pharmacy. The online shopping stores have begun to exploit the situation by advertising the selling of masks at exorbitant prices.
A pharmacist at a Dubai-based pharmacy said, “We’re out of stock as we’ve run out all kinds of face masks over the last two days”. He added “The majority of the residents who come to our pharmacy purchase sanitizers and face masks. Hospitals to have large stocks to be dispersed to their workers. We need to get more materials in two days”.
