Omantel announces innovative first-of-its-kind Baqati packages in the GCC

Omantel—the pioneering integrated telecom services provider in the Sultanate—has recently announced the launching of new and upgraded packages to be offered at competitive prices for “Baqati” subscribers.
The new packages are singled out for their incomparable offers and value-for-money service to post-paid subscribers in return for a low-cost monthly subscription. Subscribers to other packages will get unlimited mobile calls and data. The new packages also offer a discount on Google Play and Apple Store online purchases. Moreover, Baqati Platinum subscribers will get a one-year free-of-charge subscription to Netflix service.
Commenting on the launch of the new packages, Vice President of Omantel’s Consumer Business Unit Haitham Abdullah Al Kharusi said: “We are pleased to announce the launch of these innovative packages as part of our keenness to provide the best solutions and telecommunication services in the Sultanate in order to enrich the experience of our subscribers by offering unprecedented services to help them stay constantly connected.
The new “Baqati” offers connect Omantel subscribers with the outside world. In addition to the unlimited use of mobile calls and data, the new Baqati package has a lot of features including the use of GCC data, global data roaming, discount on applications and free-of-charge subscription to the Netflix service.
The new packages are available at prices ranging between OMR 9, 15, 20, 25 & 35.
“The new Omantel packages aim at giving double value to the services we offer through Baqati. The new features will meet the needs of our subscribers and offer them the best telecommunication solutions at unprecedented, competitive prices that will enrich their experience with us. Our subscribers can choose between the newly launched five packages as per their needs and usage,” Al-Kharusi added.
Subscription to the new packages is available via Omantel smartphone application, call centres, or visiting any of the company’s outlets. The new packages are available under 24-month contracts except for Baqati Blue which is available without annual contracts.
