ODP Extends Greetings to His Majesty on the Occasion of Oman’s 49th Renaissance Day

On the occasion of Oman’s 49th Renaissance Day, Eng. Maqbool Al Wahaibi, CEO, Oman Data Park extended his greetings to His Majesty and the people of Oman.
In the video, Eng. Maqbool Al Wahaibi highlighted how Oman has been forging a digital future be it via cloud computing, artificial intelligence, big data or the Internet-of-Things. The SMEs, in particular, have been geared towards utilizing the tools of the fourth industrial revolution in order to create their own ventures, he affirmed. He remains optimistic that this will contribute positively to Oman’s GDP.
Oman Data Park has been at the forefront of technological innovation in Oman. Since it’s establishment in 2012, ODP has been moving from strength to strength.
Recently, Oman Data Park announced the deployment of Microsoft Azure Stack solutions in its facilities in collaboration with Microsoft and Cisco.
Earlier this year, they also announced their newest service offering – Professional-Services-as-a-Service (PSaaS) in response to a growing market need to support various businesses in their quest to modernise and improve their own ICT services.
Oman Data Park supports over 500 local and international entities, offering a full eco-system of Cloud solutions covering all types of businesses from Government, Oil & Gas and Banking, to name a few. Based on convenient OPEX based models, the solutions are available in economical pay-as-you-go models that facilitate Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), Network-as-a-Service (NaaS), DataCentre-as-a-Service (DCaaS), Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS), as well as Application-as-a-Service (AaaS).
This year, the company celebrated yet another milestone with the commissioning of the company’s Cyber Security Center at Knowledge Oasis Muscat. The Center provides IT services, enhanced managed security services including a 24/7 cybersecurity operations and a network operations team, managed by an elite team of experienced Omani experts.
