5 Things The New S9 Can Do That Your iPhone Can’t

If you haven’t been living under a rock for the past few months, you’ve probably heard of the new iPhone. A bezel less screen, facial recognition and of course that notch at the front – Apple has really hit it out of the park with the iPhone X.
So is the iPhone X the best smartphone money can buy? Well not quite! Here are 5 compelling reasons to choose the Galaxy S9 and S9+, Samsung’s flagships for 2018, over Apple’s iPhone X
1. Variable Aperture
The rear camera on the latest Galaxy flagships can change their aperture from f1.5 to f2.4 with just a tap on the screen. Not only is it fascinating to watch that mechanised shutter open and close, but the sheer amount of light let in by the wider aperture translates into some stunning low light photos.
2. 960 Frames Per Second Slow Motion Video
We live in a fast paced world where even the best moments seem all too fleeting. Well with the S9 and S9+, you can slow them down to a staggering 960 frames a second. While the iPhone X too can do slow motion video at 240fps; the S9 captures 4X as many frames every second, so that you can enjoy those beautiful moments or epic fails in glorious slow motion!

3. ARMoji Takes Animoji A Step Further
While there is no doubt that Samsung’s uninspired naming of ARMoji borrows heavily from Apple’s Animoji, the S9 and S9+ do take things a bit further by allowing you to create ARMojis that resemble your real life appearance. And while Animojis are restricted only to iMessage, ARMoji can be sent and shared with your friends via GIFs on any messaging app of your choice.
4. Iris Scanning
Apple took a bold step when they decided to get rid of the fingerprint scanner on their flagship iPhone X and instead relied on facial recognition as a means of unlocking the phone. Samsung though, not to be undone by FaceID; went one step further and combined Facial recognition along with Iris Scanning to make a combined form of biometric security that remains a notch above the rest!
5. Heart Rate and Blood Pressure Sensor
Samsung have often been guilty of stuffing their phones with everything but the kitchen sink and in the past this has led to a subpar user experience, even on their flagship S and Note lineup of devices. But over the years Samsung has refined their user interface and yet managed to maintain a level of focus on specialised hardware that simply no other smartphone manufacturer has. The heart rate and blood pressure sensor on the S9+ is simply proof of that.
So whether you be someone who’s really conscious of their health or a lazy couch potato, the dynamic duo of S9 and S9+ have something up their sleeve to wow you. And the iPhone? Well it’s a decent phone no doubt but in the front of these two magnificent Android beasts, it seems a tad bit tame I’d reckon!
