Multi-disciplinary consultant
Renardet is an ideal consultant for the clients in Oman thanks to its broad history and understanding of the Omani market, paired with a combination of local and international design expertise, says Lorenzo Nicolai, Managing Director, Renardet SA & Partners, Consulting Engineers
Renardet SA & Partners is part of the larger Renardet SA group with its head office in Geneva, Switzerland and falls under the umbrella of the Bonifica Group, headquartered in Italy. Renardet SA & Partners, Consulting Engineers is a subsidiary of Renardet SA and serves the group’s interests in the Middle East and North Africa.
Renardet has been operating successfully within the GCC countries in excess of 35 years now. The office has developed from small beginnings as a road consultant in Oman to a multi-disciplinary consultant with a strong presence in a number of the Gulf countries. The regional office is in Oman and has been establishing branch offices in other parts of the Gulf as needed.
“Renardet is an ideal consultant for the clients in Oman thanks to our broad history and understanding of the Omani market, paired with a combination of local and international design expertise,” says Lorenzo Nicolai, managing director, Renardet SA & Partners, Consulting Engineers. “A multi-award winning consultant, Renardet has considerable local resources to deliver large and diverse projects on time and within budget. Almost 95 per cent of all our projects are carried out entirely from our Oman office with involvement from abroad only for much specialised subjects. This allows to have all our multidisciplinary resources available in Muscat, to optimise them and at the same time to provide a fast response to ours client’s requests.”
Contributing to the economic development of Oman, Renardet is quite proud of its currently undergoing projects that include the preparation of Muscat Tourism Master-plan, development of two Gabbro Quarries in Khatmat Milaha, Oman and design and construction of Industrial Waste Treatment Facility. Committed to make a difference towards improvement within the Sultanate, Renardet is working on construction of first motorway tunnel at Al-Sharqiyah Expressway. Last but not least, we are currently providing consulting services for feasibility study and design of flood protection scheme at Al Dareez in the Wilayat of Ibri. These projects showcase Renardet’s diverse project portfolio. “We are also proud of our involvement at Duqm for the provision of technical staff for the airport and design consulting services for Musandam Airport and Diba & Madha,” adds Nicolai.
As a true multi-disciplinary consultant, Renardet has a breadth of experience outside the core road design and supervision sector. Through strategic international partnerships and working closely with new and existing clients, the company has been able to create growth through diversification, which has allowed it to successfully complete projects in the field of water supply, dams, ports, agriculture, airports, etc.
“Our emerging architectural department is testament to this diversification effort, with investment in landscaping, MEP and building design expertise leading to success in key development projects,” concludes Nicolai.
