“Khedmah” Provides Support To The Ministry Of Social Development For People With Disabilities
Committed to its social responsibility program, Oman Investment and Finance Company “Khedmah”, has remained steadfast in its endeavours to support the Ministry of Social Development through various initiatives that add value to the lives of individuals. Acknowledging the need for high-quality services in the field of rehabilitation and adequate monitoring devices to measure vital indicators for people with critical health issues, Khedmah recently extended financial support to the Ministry to provide a range of rehabilitation services as well as other medical and assistive devices for people with disabilities.
In line with the nation’s broader goals, the Directorate General of People with Disabilities Affairs seeks to partner with private sector companies, civil society institutions, and individuals who share similar values that are geared at enriching the lives of people with disabilities. As a community-centric organisation that upholds principles of inclusivity and equality, Khedmah has taken various concerted efforts to assist the Directorate in fulfilling its objectives.
Commenting on the partnership, Hamoud bin Murdad bin Hamoud Al-Shabibi, Director General of the Directorate General of People with Disabilities Affairs commented, “Our focus continues to remain on further integrating people with disabilities with the larger society and helping them lead fulfilling lives. While our programs and activities are designed specifically to cater to their varying needs, we also place a keen emphasis on providing the right medical devices and aid that will help boost their interaction and participation in society. We appreciate the ongoing partnerships with organisations like the Oman Investment and Finance Company which has been instrumental in helping us achieve our goals. Such partnerships play a key role in accelerating the process of providing the necessary assistance to people with disabilities. They also further attest to the strong sense of social responsibility that these distinguished companies persistently advocate.”
Mr. Saud Al Siyabi, Chief Operating Officer at Khedmah, applauded the relentless efforts and the pioneering role played by the esteemed Ministry of Social Development in supporting people with disabilities. Wishing the Ministry continued success, he added, “At Khedmah, CSR forms a critical pillar of our operations, and we will always remain at the forefront of spearheading such initiatives. It is important to acknowledge that people with disabilities are an important part of our community, and it is our humanitarian duty to empower them with opportunities to thrive so that they can contribute positively to the socioeconomic growth of the nation.”
Apart from being revered for its philanthropic efforts, OIFC has established itself as a unified platform that provides a range of services. Through its network of 68 branches across the Sultanate, its well-equipped kiosks, and other digital portals which include the popular Khedmah app, customers can easily pay their electricity prepaid meter bills, other utility bills, and traffic fines, as well as recharge their phone balance. In addition, customers can also make payments to the Public Authority for Social Insurance (PASI), recharge any entertainment subscription, complete their car insurance, and print property-related documents.
