Ahlibank To Enhance Investment Options With The Launch Of A Systematic Investment Plan
Renewing its commitment to assist and support customers in their long term financial goals, ahlibank is introducing a comprehensive Investment Plan (SIP) for Private Banking and Wealth Management clients.
The investment channel will provide an effective platform for investors to augment their financial goals with periodic investments in funds that have demonstrated their market potentials. The key objective is to ‘invest today for a better tomorrow’ by investing small amounts at regular intervals into different global mutual funds. SIP is structured to enhance customers’ wealth with calculated investment opportunities.
Interested customers can opt for the plan through ahlibank’s mobile application under its Wealth Management segment, or by contacting the Bank’s Wealth Management Team directly.
SIP will address money management and investment issues by encouraging customers to start with small capital amounts that aggregate into substantial total for a sustainable future-ready plan. ahlibank’s team of financial experts will be on hand to shape investment opportunities through the SIP, which will not only work as a saving scheme for a host of future requirements, including retirement, it will also assist customers in meeting any inflationary pressures arising from prospective market changes.
Highlighting advantages of the Investment Plan, Najla Murtadha Al Lawati, AGM – Head of Private Banking & Wealth Management, ahlibank, said, “SIP is an easy and convenient plan that works more like a savings scheme. It is about consistent investments over a period of time; it demands commitment to meet the monthly target without fail. In effect, it encourages disciplined investment saving plan and we would recommend it to all customers who have ‘investment’ on their minds. It is open for everyone with a minimum amount of OMR 100 of monthly investment.”
Explaining further, Najla Lawati added: “SIP can be a rewarding experience; take, for example, a monthly amount of OMR 100 over a period of ten years, with the anticipated fund return on investment at 10% per annum; the actual paid amount in the ten years would be OMR 12,000, with net return on investment exceeding OMR 8,000 with a portfolio value exceeding OMR 20,000. Moreover, Customers can opt for multiple SIPs with investment periods of up to 30 years, as they are, basically, open ended funds and are highly liquid. What is more, profits may be booked from time to time by selling a portion of the units, and if the customer has any financial crunch, he/she may take a break for a couple of months after starting the SIP. However, we urge our investors/clients to have that monthly paying commitment to reach the optimal desire. ”
Whether the market is bearish or bullish, long term investments through SIP are structured to reward customers at all times. It is specifically recommended for individuals who are aiming to achieve different long-term goals. It is a cost-effective way to invest in mutual funds, with cost averaging approach to buying periodically on different NAV (Net Asset Value) funds. On each SIP payment, customers will receive additional units in their investment portfolio. with every financial payment within the structured investment plan due to their investment on different prices, which makes value-cost, the average of all other prices that have been invested in.
