Omani Brand Achieves Success

Muscat: The National Detergent Co. is proud of the success of the Farah Brand of health and hygiene products, which has achieved over 40% market share in hand sanitizers in Oman.
The success of Farah is the combination of the best product developed through customer insights and strong support for products produced in Oman by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Commerce & Industry and local retailers, like Lulu and Muscat Pharmacy, who favour Omani products, says Anish Kumar, Head of Marketing and Sales for NDC.
The customers wanted a “non-sticky” product with a beautiful fragrance, says Ratheesh Mallia, Brand Manager for Farah. We were able to execute on this by using the finest purity raw materials and a rose fragrance inspired by the roses of Jebel Akhdar. The product is also one of the only products in the GCC to carry the drug facts label, giving customers the confidence they will be combating Covid-19 with the best product available. Keeping the family safe in these times is a top priority. NDC also developed and patented the 20ml pocket sanitiser by Farah making safety convenient for our customers, Mallia said.
The support from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion were needed to meet all regulatory requirements in Oman and the GCC, said Nasser Al Rawahi, Head of HR and Administration for NDC.
NDC is also very excited about the decision from the Royal Oman Police to source locally made products. The ROP sees value in not only Farah but also Bahar, Pinex and a full range of Omani produced products, says Ahmed Jaffer, Sales for NDC.
NDC is an Omani publically listed Company with 100% Omani ownership and 42% Omanization.
