Oman-Saudi Business Council Explores Views of Sectoral Committees

Muscat: The Omani-Saudi Business Council held its first meeting of the year at Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) here yesterday.
During the meeting, the Omani side unveiled the visions of sectoral committees.
Ali Hamad Al Kalbani, Head of the Omani side at the Business Council, underscored the need to foster communication among private sector entities in both countries.
The two sides are considering ways of improving the investment climate and devising proper policies and frameworks in a manner that encourages investors to set up joint ventures.
The meeting looked into a wide range of economic opportunities that could spur business and investment ties and augment the levels of commercial exchange.
The meeting revised the current mechanisms of investment attraction and studied views of the sectoral committees of the Business Council.
