Oman & KSA Sign MoU To Ensure Food & Water Security
Al Ahsa: The Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the field of food and water security.
The signing of the MoU came on the sidelines of the International Council for Dates, held in Al Ahsa, the KSA.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources and Eng. Abdul Rahman Abdul Mohsen Al Fadhli, Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture.
The MoU aims to enhance cooperation between the two countries in fields of food and water security within the implemented systems and regulations. It also targets building mutual relations and partnership to achieve the strategic goals of the two countries in food and water security, as well as in integrated water management systems and associated mechanisms of legislation, institutional frameworks and operations.
