BankDhofar, Infoline, Dhofar Insurance Company, Al Tamman Indsil Ferrochrome LLC, Areej Vegetable Oils and Derivatives (AVOD) and several other companies have signed up as partners of the 14th edition of OER Business Summit, a flagship event by the Sultanate’s premium business magazine, with a special HR focus.

HE Badr Salim Al Maamari, Secretary General, Oman Tender Board will be the chief guest at the Summit that will be held under the auspices of HE Shaikh Salim bin Mustahail Al Mashani at Sheraton Oman, Muscat on May 10.

His Highness Dr Adham Al Said, Assistant Professor for Economics at the College of Economics and Political Science, Sultan Qaboos University, and Founding Partner, The Firm for Business and Economic Consulting will be the keynote speaker and guest of honour.

Organised by UMS Events, the Summit will also feature a fireside chat with HE Pankaj Khimji, Adviser for Foreign Trade and International Cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion.

OER Business Summit, endorsed by ITHCA Group, Oman Banks Association and Credit Oman, will take place at Sheraton Oman, Muscat. It will deliberate on the topic, “Building resilience in a fragile global economy.”

The Summit will bring together government and business leaders to brainstorm and share their experience on leading the country and companies into an uncertain future. Senior government officials, C-Suite executives will discuss a roadmap for building a responsible and resilient business.

The HR Segment will discuss the topic, ‘A Year of Redefining Work, Work Force and Everything in Between.’ The session will discuss how organisations can efficiently stitch together a ‘systemic operation’ that works together and how to Recruit, Retain, recruit and redesign to negotiate a changing economy.

A workshop on ‘Driving a high-performance culture for growth,’ will be held alongside the Summit. Sangeeta Shankaran Sumesh, Chief Financial Officer turned Business and Leadership Coach will conduct the workshop.

She has a rich corporate experience of twenty-five years with multinationals and her latest position was as the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of Dun and Bradstreet Technologies.

Through this workshop, the participants will be inspired to think by designing and developing a high-performance culture for their organisation. The workshop will focus on understanding the high performance and its importance, factors that impact team effectiveness, fostering the factors for team effectiveness in the organisation and developing smart performance metrics for your business.
