Liva Insurance Hosts Wellness Camp for SalamAir Employees in Collaboration with Apollo Hospital Muscat
Committed to making meaningful contributions to social welfare initiatives and with a strong focus on public health and well-being, Liva Insurance – The leading insurance provider in the Sultanate of Oman – proudly announced the successful conclusion of a Wellness Camp organized for the employees of SalamAir on the 4th July 2024, in association with Apollo Hospital Muscat.
Aligned with Liva Insurance’s mission to enhance the safety of its customers, this initiative exemplifies the Company’s dedication to making a positive impact on the community and fulfilling social responsibilities, while leading by example.
This edition of the wellness camp featured activities designed to improve the physical welfare of employees. The event included interactive health talks on nutrition and hydration, conducted by Apollo Hospital Muscat’s doctors and healthcare professionals. These sessions provided valuable insights into maintaining a balanced and healthy diet, and more importantly, staying hydrated during the summer months.
Additionally, the participants had one-on-one consultations with General Practitioners, who offered advice tailored to each individual’s health needs. The comprehensive physical assessments included monitoring blood pressure, height, weight, body mass index (BMI), pulse, oxygen saturation, and General Random Blood Sugar (GRBS) tests. These assessments play a crucial role in early detection and prevention of health issues.
Hanaa Al Hinai, CEO of Liva Insurance, shared her thoughts on the initiative, stating: “We are truly delighted to collaborate with Apollo Hospital Muscat in organizing this wellness camp for SalamAir employees. These dedicated professionals work tirelessly to ensure the smooth and safe operation of one of our nation’s leading carriers, and it is our duty to prioritize their health and well-being.
“At Liva Insurance, we firmly believe that health insurance goes beyond mere coverage for illnesses; it entails actively promoting health management and wellbeing. Our goal is to empower our clients to lead healthier lives, and initiatives like this wellness camp underscore our commitment to fulfilling our goals of providing an experience beyond insurance.”
Excessive heat exposure at work can lead to various health issues, from sweating and dehydration to heat exhaustion and, at extreme levels, even heat stroke. Meanwhile, long-term exposure to excessive heat can exacerbate health conditions in individuals with chronic diseases, especially among elderly workers.
This initiative underscores Liva Insurance’s dedication to evolving as a premier regional insurer, transforming traditional insurance offerings with enhanced solutions customized to meet the changing needs of its customers. Anchored in exceptional service, Liva Insurance prioritizes providing comprehensive protection and individualized advice across a wide range of insurance needs.
