IFFC LLC & SKRETTING Collaborate To Set Up Oman’s First State-of-the-Art Aqua Feed Manufacturing Factory in Duqm
International Fish Feed Company LLC, a pioneering aqua feed company, with its manufacturing base in Duqm, Sultanate of Oman, is proud to announce its strategic partnership with Skretting, a Nutreco Company, and a global leader in aqua feed solutions and animal nutrition.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone for IFFC, empowering them to revolutionize the aquaculture industry with cutting-edge feed and nutrition solutions, for which Skretting is so well known. The first phase of the new state-of-the-art facility is expected to be completed and start its commercial production by the end of 2024 with an annual built-in capacity of 31,200 MT.
The project has been conceived and aligned with Oman’s 2040 Vision & the Strategic Development Goals of the UN, committed to promoting economic growth and environmental sustainability in the Sultanate of Oman.
The aquaculture sector is rapidly expanding to meet the growing global demand for sustainable seafood. With this surge in production, the industry faces numerous challenges, including ensuring the highest quality diets for aquatic species while minimizing environmental impact. IFFC recognizes these challenges and is committed to providing innovative, sustainable, and high-performance aqua feed solutions.
Nutreco, with its extensive expertise in animal nutrition, has been a trusted partner for numerous industries worldwide. The partnership between IFFC and Skretting will leverage the strengths and knowledge of both companies to develop next-generation aqua feeds that enhance the health, growth, and sustainability of aquaculture species.
With this partnership, IFFC also gains access to Skretting’s advanced research and development capabilities, its global network of facilities, and its vast portfolio of high-quality ingredients. Together, IFFC and Skretting will focus on optimizing the nutritional profiles of aqua feeds, incorporating novel ingredients, and implementing sustainable sourcing practices.
In the meantime, IFFC will also function as Skretting’s exclusive distributor in the Sultanate of Oman. As an authorized distributor for Skretting, IFFC offers a comprehensive range of innovative and sustainable aqua feed products to fish and shrimp farmers across Oman.
