Honourable Lujaina Mohsin Darwish & MHD-ITICS Sponsor Map Of Oman Painting

In preparation for Oman’s 52nd National Day, the Infrastructure, Technology, Industrial and Consumer Solutions cluster of Mohsin Haider Darwish LLC (MHD-ITICS), has supported an event that brought together 27 artists from across the country to paint a three-meter by two-meter map of the Sultanate of Oman.
The event, held under the auspices of the Guest of Honour, H.H. Sayyid Kamil bin Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, the Secretary-General of Oman’s General Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers, experienced a morning of unity, inspiration and empowerment of Oman’s art community. Hosted by Honourable Lujaina Mohsin Darwish, Chairperson, MHD-ITICS at Al Bustan – A Ritz Carlton Hotel, on the 15th of November, the event witnessed the presence of some of the highly-esteemed guests including Excellencies, leading business personnel and attendees from all over the country.
Ideated by Maryam Mohammed Baniorabah, the event under the theme, ‘Building Oman, Together’ showcased a montage portraying the journey of the painting, featuring picturesque landscapes and testimonials from the artists. This was followed by the unveiling of the Map of Oman by H.H. Sayyid Kamil. Honourable Lujaina Mohsin Darwish then delivered a keynote speech. To add to the exuberance of the morning, Oman’s well-renowned singer and songwriter, Haitham Rafi delivered a performance par excellence.
Honourable Lujaina Mohsin Darwish said, “Art is a platform for people to express their feelings, emotions and thoughts in ways that are not always possible in words or actions. Therefore, in celebrating the 52nd National Day, there is no better way to demonstrate our sense of belonging and patriotism than the display of a work of brilliance, curated by extremely talented Omani artists, representing their Wilayats gathered to pay tribute to our beloved nation.”
“MHD-ITICS will continue to support and bring forth local talents. The gifted artists in our midst reflect artisanal values. Their artistic practice reflects traditions whose influence continues to flow through our contemporary culture. With the right level of support and encouragement, these artists are the creative stimuli that fertilise the seeds and enable a truly vibrant cultural hub to grow,” she added.
MHD-ITICS, under the guidance of Honourable Lujaina Mohsin Darwish, has achieved commendable growth in recent years. Moreover, the Company has been at the forefront of setting new benchmarks in the industry and supporting local talents. Businesses and individuals collaborate in these cross-sector efforts to develop the talent and skills our economy needs.
