His Majesty The Sultan Issues Six Royal Decrees

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued six Royal decrees reading as follows:
Royal Decree No. 74/2021 on the appointment of a non-resident ambassador.
Article (1) appoints Nassir Mohammed Khalifa Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the People’s Republic of China, as Oman’s Non-Resident Ambassador to the People’s Democratic Republic of Korea and Mongolia.
Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on its date of publishing.
Royal Decree No. 75/2021 on the appointment of a member of the State Council.
Article (1) appoints Maha Sulaiman Barakat Al Lamki as member of the State Council in lieu of Lubna Mohammed Sameer Al Kharousi.
Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on its date of publishing
Royal Decree No. 76/2021 on the ratification of the Sultanate of Oman’s joining the Treaty on Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, including the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies, dated 27 January 1967.
Article (1) ratifies the Sultanate of Oman’s joining the Treaty on Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, including the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies, dated 27 January 1967, in accordance with the version attached to this decree.
Article (2) instructs the authorities concerned to deposit the above-mentioned treaty’s joining document in accordance with its provisions.
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on its date of publishing.
Royal Decree No. 77/2021 ratifies the Sultanate of Oman’s joining the Convention on RegistrationofObjectsLaunched into outer Space, dated 14 January 1975.
Article (1) ratifies the Sultanate of Oman’s joining the above-mentioned Convention on RegistrationofObjectsLaunched intoOuter Space, dated 14 January 1975 in accordance with the version attached to this decree.
Article (2) instructs the authorities concerned to deposit the above-mentioned Convention’s joining document in accordance with its provisions.
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on its date of publishing.
Royal Decree No. 78/2021 on the ratification of the Sultanate of Oman’s joining the Agreement on the Rescue of Astronauts, the Return of Astronauts and the Return of Objects Launched into Outer Space, dated 22 April 1968.
Article (1) ratifies the Sultanate of Oman’s joining the Agreement on the Rescue of Astronauts, the Return of Astronauts and the Return of Objects Launched into Outer Space, dated 22 April 1968 in accordance with the version attached to this decree.
Article (2) instructs the authorities concerned to deposit the above-mentioned agreement’s joining document in accordance with its provisions.
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on its date of publishing.
Royal Decree No. 79/2021 on the ratification of the Sultanate of Oman’s joining the Convention on International Liability for Damage Caused by Space Objects, dated 29 March 1972.
Article (1) ratifies the Sultanate of Oman’s joining the Convention on International Liability for Damage Caused by Space Objects, dated 29 March 1972 in accordance with the version attached to this decree.
Article (2) instructs the authorities concerned to deposit the above-mentioned Convention’s joining document in accordance with its provisions.
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on its date of publishing.
