Here Is How You Can Spend Your Long National Day Holidays
Long holiday? Still, confused as to where to go and what to do? We got you covered. As it is the official start of the National Day holidays in Oman, and travel tickets are off the roof for the International Sector (unless you got lucky!), Here are a few local attractions you can consider exploring with friends and family.
Fins Beach
Overlooked by the towering escarpment of Al Hajar Ash Sharqi mountain range is the beautiful bay of the ‘White Beach’, near Fins village in Muscat Governorate, on the coastal road between Sur and Quriyat. The clear turquoise water of the Sea of Oman here laps Sand formed from ancient coral reefs, thus creating one of the area’s most relaxing locations.
While you are at it, explore the Lover’s Cave at Fins beach.

Jebel Shams & Jebel Akhdar

Bimmah Sinkhole
Hawiyyat Najm, known as Bimmah Sinkhole in English, is a water-filled depression, structurally a sinkhole, in the limestone of eastern Muscat Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman, very close to the Al Sharqiyah region just off the highway to Sur, a few kilometres before Tiwi.

Al Bustan Village (Greece Of Oman)
If you cannot plan a visit to Greece, do not worry! Oman has its own Santorini. Al Bustan Village has a landscape of white and blue theme, the entire village is very picturesque and Instagram worthy!

Sur
Sur is a port city on Oman’s eastern tip. Its shipyards, which still produce traditional wooden vessels, played a pivotal role in Oman’s maritime past. In the city centre, Sunaysilah Fort has 4 defensive towers around a courtyard. Exhibits at the Maritime Museum include ship models. Southeast of Sur, green turtles nest at Ras al Jinz Turtle Reserve. To the west, craggy cliffs surround verdant Wadi Bani Khalid Valley.

We hope this helps and you have a fantastic holiday !
