Easy and Flexible Bill Payment Solutions from Khedmah to Corporates
Muscat: Oman Investments and Finance Company’s pioneering payment solution provider – Khedmah – aspires to enrich the user experience by providing hassle-free and flexible services that are not only for individuals but for corporates too. This comes as part of the company’s constant efforts to diversify the scope of its services and target various segments of the community.
Through its website, Khedmah provides a dedicated platform known as “Corporate Relations and Recovery Cell” that delivers customized services to corporate clients. These services include paying and tracking electricity, water, telecommunication and internet bills from different service providers, such as Awasr, Omantel and Ooredoo. Corporate clients can also recharge their phone, electricity prepaid meter and pay the dues of the Public Authority for Social Insurance (PASI).
The unified billing platform on the website allows customers to create a unique account that has all their account numbers of electricity, water, telecommunications, Internet and PASI on it. The aim of the portal is to facilitate tracking multiple bills in a billing cycle, knowing the outstanding balance and process all payments with a push of a button, at no additional costs.
Furthermore, the corporate cell ensures timely delivery of bills through an E-bill service that facilitates receipt of bills automatically in the Corporate Customer’s designated email account. It also provides easier payment options such as bank transfer into OIFC’s designated bank accounts, Khedmah branches, Khedmah phone app, website and kiosks. Khedmah also arranges for the collection of payments from the company doorstep with a POS machine in case if they wish to pay using a debit/credit card.
In order to easily track payment, the portal provides a prompt reflection of payments through OIFC’s online cashiering system. Additionally, customers can avail of other services such as bill copies, statements of accounts & other related details by facsimile or by e-mail whenever needed.
Commenting on this service, Mohamed Saif Al Toqi, Sr. Manager Telecom Recovery said: “At Khedmah, we direct our efforts towards keeping pace with the latest requirements of the market and clients’ aspirations. During the past period, we have observed that the corporate sector has an increased need for an easy online platform through which they can manage and pay for electricity, water, telecommunications and the Internet. We decided to capitalize on this opportunity to fulfil the requirements of this segment. Hence, we have a dedicated team that communicates with companies wishing to benefit from these services and facilitate the process of paying their bills. Today, this team serves tens of thousands of companies in various regions across the Sultanate. We receive positive feedback on the ease, flexibility and cost savings of this service for companies. OIFC is currently working toward enhancing this experience to provide more value-add for companies by accelerating the current procedures and making them more flexible and with additional payment options for beneficiaries.”
“Our vision at OIFC is based on adopting digital transformation and achieving sustainability in operations. We encourage establishments and individuals to utilize a plethora of services from our e-channels such as the Khedmah app and website. These efforts come in line with Oman Vision 2040 that seeks to achieve digital transformation and create an economy based on knowledge and innovation,” he further stated.
