Ambassador of India to Oman
On the occasion of the 45th Anniversary of Oman’s National Day, I extend, on behalf of the Government and the people of Republic of India, my warm greetings to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said and the Government and people of Oman. During these 45 years, Oman, under the wise and visionary leadership of His Majesty, has made tremendous strides in various fields and achieved peace, development and prosperity. It has also played a leading role at regional and global fora.
The year 2015 marks the 60th anniversary of India-Oman diplomatic relations. The civilizational and historical relations between India and Oman have evolved into a strategic partnership, which is broad-based and mutually beneficial. This partnership has been strengthened through regular high level visits.
India accords a high priority to expanding its bilateral economic and commercial ties with Oman. Bilateral trade has been growing and investment flows between the two countries have remained buoyant. The co-operation and exchanges in culture, education, tourism, etc. have also been expanding.
An important aspect of India-Oman relations is the presence of a large, diverse and highly regarded Indian community in Oman. Their contribution to the progress and development of both India and Oman is well recognized. The Indian community in Oman is grateful for the love and warmth of the Omani people and the benign care and protection of His Majesty’s Government.
On the auspicious occasion of 45th National Day, I convey my best wishes for a long and healthy life to His Majesty and, for development, peace and prosperity of Oman.
