UAE confirms holiday date for Prophet’s birthday

Public and private sector workers in the UAE will get one day off on Saturday, November 9 to mark the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, the Federal Authority For Government Human Resources (FAHR) has confirmed.
Officials have also announced that a dry night will be observed in Dubai from 5.30pm on Friday, November 8 to 6.30pm on Saturday, November 9 to mark the occasion.
The FAHR had revealed a revised list of public holidays in September, with a holiday added to mark Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, which was excluded in the previous list.
According to the new list of public holidays, public and private sector workers in the UAE will be off from December 1- 3 to observe Commemoration Day and National Day.
