ROP Resumes Issuing New Work Visas For Expats In Oman
Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has resumed issuing new work (residency) visas after an eight-month hiatus, as per newly released reports.
The news comes after the Directorate General of Passports and Residency had stopped issuing such visas earlier in March on account of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
It is understood that companies can begin applying for new visas online through the ROP website and in the same manner as they did before the start of the pandemic.
It must be kept in mind that the ROP will issue visas “provided” that the applicant meets the necessary requirements.
The Directorate General also began issuing express visas that are valid for 21 days and family visit visas online from this month.
