Public Holiday Announced In Oman On Account Of Prophet’s Birthday
MUSCAT: On account of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)’s birthday, it has been decided that Tuesday, 12 Rabee al Awal 1443 AH, which falls on October 19 2021, will be an official holiday.
This will apply for all employees of units of the State’s Administrative Apparatus, other legal entities, and establishments of the private sector.
The Ministry of Labor explained that the employers at the private sector establishments may agree on terms to engage employees on the said holiday if deemed necessary based on the nature of their work, provided they compensate the workers for the holiday.
