Procedures for Addressing Shooting Incident in Wadi Al Kabir Area in Muscat Concluded

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) and the military and security services announced the conclusion of procedures for addressing the shooting incident that occurred last night, Monday, in the Wadi Al Kabir area of Muscat Governorate.

The incident resulted in the deaths of five people, the martyrdom of a police officer, and the killing of the three perpetrators, in addition to injuring 28 people of different nationalities.
Among the injured were four individuals, including policemen and Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority personnel, who were performing their national duty. The injured have been transferred to health institutions for treatment. Investigations into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
ROP offered condolences and sympathies to the families of the deceased, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
The ROP also extended its appreciation for the national efforts and cooperation of citizens and residents, which resulted in containing the situation.
They also stressed the need to get information from official channels and to ignore non-reliable sources.
