Opal, TOGY sign collaboration agreement

TOGY International Ltd and the Oman Society for Petroleum Services (Opal) signed a collaboration agreement for the production of TOGY’s eighth consecutive report on the Sultanate, The Energy Year Oman 2020.
Formerly known as The Oil & Gas Year exclusive series, The Energy Year Oman 2020 will be the first-of-its-kind to offer a holistic overview of the country’s energy industry at large and showcase the most dynamic companies, projects and undertakings across the entire energy value chain.
More than ever this year, the book will be an essential tool for the Ministry of Oil and Gas and Opal to promote the developments and measures in place as part of Oman’s sustainable energy blueprint.
The agreement was signed by Opal Chief Executive Officer Abdul Rahman Al Yahyaei and The Energy Year’s Oman Country Director, Nuné Muradyan.
The agreement underscores both parties’ ambition to further improve Oman’s attractiveness among international investors and enhance opportunities for collaboration between local companies and their international counterparts.
The Energy Year Oman 2020 will cover a range of topics, including Oman’s transition towards sustainable energy production, the country’s positioning as a regional logistics and petrochemicals hub, the deployment of new renewable energy projects, the application of innovative solutions and enhanced recovery technologies, and the development of new gas-dependent projects, among many others.
Opal is Oman’s premier industry organisation, known as “the voice of Oman’s oil and gas industry,” that brings together the key stakeholders of the local oil and gas industry. The organisation has 400 members made up of oil and gas companies, including producers and operators, contractors and suppliers – large and small.
Through its series of annual, country-specific business intelligence reports and strategic stakeholder gatherings, TOGY International Ltd provides strategic communication and networking to the global energy community. The Energy Year Oman 2020 will reach high-level executives, investors and government members in more than 100 countries and be distributed at leading conferences such as the ADIPEC, World Heavy Oil Congress & Exhibition (Muscat), KOGS Kuwait and Africa Oil Week (Cape Town).
