Omani Students Develop First Local Investment Platform

A group of Omani college students have developed the first all-local investment platform that aims to create an appropriate environment for investors and facilitate the investment process.
In a statement issued by the Oman News Agency, it was revealed that the Omani developers behind the platform – that is now dubbed ‘Semsar’ – are students from the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Sohar.
It further revealed: “A group of students succeeded in creating the first Omani investment platform, administratively and financially, under the name of ‘Semsar’, which was recently shown at the Injaz Oman exhibition.”
The company works by creating an electronic platform whose mission is to create an appropriate environment for investment and facilitate the investment process, with the aim of linking entrepreneurs and investors in one place in an easy and smooth manner.
