Omani Establishments Bag Top Spots In GCC Housing Design
Muscat: The Secretariat General of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), honoured two Omani establishments – Al Jisr Charity Association and Golden Group Holding (GGH), with the top award in housing design for the year 2020.
The prize was presented to representatives of the two establishments by Dr Khalfan Said al-Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning.
Al Jisr received the award for implementing the Housing Assistance Project, better known as “Manzili-Ma’waay”. Al Jisr constructed, restored, and maintained many homes that housed financially disadvantaged families from Zakat recipients in the Sultanate. Meanwhile, GGH shared the honours with Al Jisr for implementing seven social housing projects for orphans in the Governorate of Dhofar. The GGH promotes social collaboration and cooperation among individuals of society.
