Oman Engages in 95th Session Of Arab Permanent Media Committee
Cairo: The Informational Under Secretary for the Ministry of Information Ali Khalfan al-Jabri represented Oman for the 95th session of the Arab Permanent Media Committee on Sunday. The session was conducted in preparation for the upcoming, Arab Information Ministers Council’s meetings.
During the meeting, Mr al-Jabri stressed the importance of the conclave, in light of the recent developments in the middle-east. He called for the addition of all Palestinian issues, human rights as well as land disputes, to the agenda of the Arab Permanent Media Committee and the Arab Media Action Plan abroad. In addition, he advocated for the compilation of the Arab content through the Arab League and meetings of the Arab Information Ministers Council’s meetings.
Other topics discussed during the conclave included topics such as, ‘child content’, ‘Arab child media’ and, means to unifying and enabling Arab media efforts to have a strong presence in the international arena.
